Lakota Robotics-FRC Team 1038
FRC is an annual design competition bringing adults and young people together in teams to solve an engineering design problem in an intense and competitive way. The Competition is a program of FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology), a nonprofit organization. The program inspires students to consider careers in engineering, technology and science. The program shows students how technological fields hold varied opportunities for success, are accessible and rewarding and that the basic concepts of science, math, engineering, and invention are exciting and interesting.
Team Mission Statement
We inspire young people to pursue careers in science and technology; and equip them to become confident, responsible, productive citizens prepared to make a meaningful contribution in the world and motivated to improve the lives of those less advantaged than themselves using a unique learning experience in an environment that is fun and fosters creativity.
